About Ian Eddy Blacksmith
I have lived and worked in Vermont as a full time blacksmith since 1975. In 1999, my wife, Jenny, and I moved to a larger studio in Saxtons River, Vermont where we run a small forge dedicated to producing iron work of the highest quality. Our hand wrought ironwork is designed to be attractive and delicate in concept yet practical in function. Pieces from our forge can be found in shops and galleries throughout the United States as well as many commissioned works installed in private homes.
Each of our hand wrought iron pieces is heated, shaped and hammered individually, with traditional hammer and tongs which assures that each item is unique and that no two are exactly alike. We are always challenged to strive for refinement in our designs and the creation of new ones. Jenny and I love the work, and if you choose a piece from these pages, we hope that you will enjoy the results of our efforts for many years to come.
Although, as you will see from these catalog web pages, we have an extensive selection of pieces we make as production items, I am always happy to consider your custom project to fit your individual needs.
Jenny and I hope you will enjoy browsing our web site, and that you will feel free to
contact us with your comments or special needs.
